WHAT IS GRAPHIC DESIGN?
Graphic design is, simply put, visual communication. A designer combines color, type, imagery, media and technology to create a brochure, website, poster, logo, ad, or other end product that is geared towards a specific audience.

The creative 'act' is a process, not a moment. First, the designer must thoroughly understand the product, service or company, in order to effectively promote it. As prominent designer Primo Angeli said, "The talent for discovering the unique and marketable characteristics of a product or service is a designer's most valuable asset."

Then the designer determines the client’s goal. Is it to enhance the image of organization? Establish a new brand? Reach a new audience? Update their current materials? All projects go through, to some extent, the four stages outlined next.  Click here >
