The last stage is definitely not the least. Once a project has been designed and approved by the client, it still needs to be produced. For a printed piece, the designer may need to consult with the printer on paper choice, final cost estimate, schedule, delivery and fulfillment, as well as technical requirements for preparation of the file. It may also be necessary to see the job on press to verify color, registration, and overall quality. For a web site, visual elements must be properly formatted for use on the web, the site needs to be programmed, tested on different platforms and browsers, and finally uploaded onto the server so it can "go live."
