STAGE TWO > DESIGN
Turning the concepts into preliminary visual “sketches” may involve researching new or stock photography and illustration, studying competitors’ materials, researching production techniques or technology to determine the feasibility of a particular idea, and of course, designing. These initial sketches can look remarkably like finished products, due to the precision of design software and printers, but it is important for the client to remember that this is still an exploratory stage. Nothing should be final at this point. Open and clear dialogue between the designer and client at all times, but particularly now, will enhance the outcome.
